Message from the President Director

Good morning/afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. On this occasion, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our Shareholders, Sales Companies and our Valued Customers and all of you for having spared your time to attend our celebration/commemoration of the 10,000 th unit delivery of HCMI hydraulic excavator.

The first shipment of HCMI's hydraulic shovel was done 15 years ago, EX 200 in February 1993, delivered to Hexindo. After 15 years, we had been able to reach the milestone of the 10,000 th unit delivery due to the continuous support and cooperation of all of you present here now for which I again thank you all very much.

If we look back in these last 15 years, we can classify them as follows: the first 5 years had been our establishment period, the next 5 years, our survival period, and the last 5 years have been our progressing period. Therefore, our first production was 2500 units; the next 5 years production fell to half with 1300 units and in the last 5 years has increased to 6200 units.

In the beginning, our daily production was only 2 units but at present, it has increased already to 9 units' daily production due to our increasing number of equipments and employees and the increasing employees' productivity which makes it possible to cope up with the increasing production capacity in spite of our limited factory space. Thanks to the guidance of seniors.

Well, the growth of the hydraulic excavators in the future is expected to increase. Therefore, we had decided to invest in this new assembly building and plan to start the actual operations in January 2010.

Unfortunately, as you all know, Indonesia has also been affected by the global financial crisis which has resulted in the down turn of our sales. The new plant will be completed soon. So, now we can only be optimistic that our new plant will meet the future production increment.

I assure you that this is our challenge to leap forward and strengthen our organization by continuously training to upgrade our human resources development and improving our quality and productivity to achieve our goal.

I believe HCMI which have overcome so many difficulties, can manage to sustain these difficulties in the future if we all work together and combine our strengths to march forward to achieve our goals.
